Scuba diving and freediving on the Gili islands

With year-round water temperatures of around 28 degrees Celsius, the Gili islands are one of Indonesia’s top spots for scuba diving, freediving and snorkelling.

Gili Islands Divers, conveniently located on-site at Grand Sunset Gili Air, offers visitors unique scuba diving and freediving experiences around Gili Air, Gili Meno, Gili Trawangan and Lombok.

All scuba diving and freediving excursions are tailored to offer you the best possible diving, no matter what time of year you’re visiting. Gili Islands Divers are accredited by Scuba Schools International, and offer one-day introductory courses, professional-level training and SSI Instructor training courses. All courses are educational and fun, while not compromising on professionalism.

What to see

Reputed to be the turtle capital of the world, the Gilis are home to, among others, the critically endangered hawksbill sea turtle and the smallest and most abundant of the sea turtles, the olive ridley sea turtle.

The Gilis sport a diverse selection of marine life, including white tip reef sharks, scorpionfish, cuttlefish, lionfish, rays, sea snakes, and a host of others.

A variety of topographical slopes, ridges, canyons and walls will have beginner and experienced divers in awe.
